Malaysian developer SP Setia, the winner of the Best Developer accolade at the South East Asia Property Awards (Malaysia) 2015, recently announced the roll-out of 13 residential projects in 2016, with projects ranging from low-rise apartments to township developments.

PropertyGuru.com.my reports that the combined gross development value (GDV) of the projects – comprise about 8,200 units of landed and strata properties – is MYR4.7 billion (USD1.15 billion).

“Out of the 13, we have already launched two this year and those are the three-storey terrace houses and three-storey linked semi-detached homes in Setia Alam with a GDV of MYR128 million,” said SP Setia’s president and CEO Datuk Khor Chap Jen.

The said projects include the low-rise residential Carnegie project in Melbourne and the Eco Xuan township in Vietnam.

“Out of the 13, we have already launched two this year and those are the three-storey terrace houses and three-storey linked semi-detached homes in Setia Alam,” said SP Setia’s president and CEO Datuk Khor Chap Jen. “The other one that we have launched is the Phase I of Setia Eco Templer in Selayang.”

The SP Setia executive added that he would be expecting the company to reach its sales target of MYR4 billion (USD938.39 million) at the close of 2016.

“We still see healthy demands for certain locations and this is where we are targeting. It is about packaging our products to the demand of the market.”

According to PropertyGuru.com.my, SP Setia had 3,907 acres of undeveloped land as of December 2015. The developer’s 27 ongoing projects have a collective GDV of MYR70.6 billion (USD17.26 billion).
