Real estate agent Barbara Wolveridge of Raine & Horne Port Douglas Mossman said in the last six months alone they’d had four sell above the $5 million mark.

“So we’ve had very good interest. We’ve got some very good properties hitting the market too.”

Ms Wolveridge said the market was seeing good pricing come out of the Port Douglas market now.

Among most recent sales listed on CoreLogic in March were 47 Murphy Street – sold for $1.11m by Raine & Horne Port Douglas Mossman on March 25, 15 Solander Boulevard – sold by Ray White Port Douglas for $1.05m on March 24 and 25 Solander Boulevard – sold by Ray White Port Douglas for $1.0755m on March 6.

Ms Wolveridge said there were “fabulous prices around at the moment”.

“People are realising that compared to Melbourne and Sydney these are good, and these are looking straight out over the Coral Sea.”

Among million dollar sales out of the firm were 16 Sands Estate, Port Douglas, a five bedroom home that sold for $1.4m at the end of January, the four bedroom 18/14 Barrier Street in The Sands that sold for $1.5m that same week, the beachfront 11 Helmet Street, Port Douglas – a three bedder that sold for $2.3m in December, and another $1.85m four bedder at 29 Beachfront Mirage that sold the month before.
