Quarterback Johnny Manziel’s Last Known Cleveland Home for Sale

Heisman Trophy winner and free agent Johnny Manziel has a game plan for his Cleveland-area home. The 23-year-old quarterback has listed the golf-course Colonial in Avon, OH, where he spent his final tumultuous season with the Cleveland Browns, according to The Plain Dealer.

The asking price for this link to ignominious Browns lore: $489,900, with no mention of a signed No. 2 jersey in the deal.

The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home with fairway views is loaded with upgrades, according to the listing. They include a first-floor master suite, vaulted ceilings, and patio with fireplace and grill.

A trust connected to Manziel and his family purchased the property in May for $438,400; the property also matches the address in local police records, The Plain Dealer says.

The first freshman to ever win the Heisman Trophy has had a rocky couple of years, to put it mildly. After starring as a dual-threat quarterback at Texas A&M University, the cocky quarterback was drafted in the first round by the Cleveland Browns in 2014.

However, the Browns released Manziel in March 2016 after his lackluster performance, injuries, and stint in rehab. There were also reports that he was gambling in Las Vegas when he should have been recuperating from a concussion and supporting teammates during the team’s regular season finale in January.

Johnny Football—the nickname the player trademarked—found himself in even hotter water recently when a Texas grand jury indicted him on misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an altercation with an ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley. Crowley claimed in an affidavit that Manziel grabbed her by the hair and hit her, causing hearing loss in one ear. Manziel has denied the charges.
