Which Posh Equestrian Property Should Bill Gates Buy Next?
Offering Bill Gates advice on which homes to buy is like asking Donald Trump where he gets his hair done. A seemingly pointless exercise, yet oddly intriguing. We know the richest man in the world—that’s Gates, just so we’re clear—could purchase a sizable chunk of the nation’s housing stock if he felt so inclined.
But still! Given his inclination for horse-related properties, we wanted to give the Microsoft founder a few new acquisition targets. With a 19-year-old daughter (and Stanford student) who has a passion for riding and competing horses, the mogul has been focusing his land buys on horse ranches.
Inspired by his latest land grab in Wellington, FL, where he’s made multiple purchases around his pre-existing horsey property to the tune of nearly $5 million, we looked at other luxe locales for equestrian homes on the market. These pricey places we selected were chosen with a billionaire’s bank account in mind.
So in case he’s not done scooping up all the available horse farms, we have eight not-so-humble suggestions. Here are some of the poshest properties around, suitable for horses and Gates family members alike. Tally-ho!
