NFL Star Vernon Davis Sells San Jose Home for M

After his recent leap to his hometown Washington Redskins, star tight end Vernon Davis was tackled for a small loss on the original asking price of his San Jose home in the Silver Creek Valley Country Club. Initially listed in 2015 for $2,449,888, the 4,073-square-foot home recently sold for $2 million.

Davis put the home on the market when he was traded to the Denver Broncos in the middle of the 2015 season. He stuck around just long enough to win a Super Bowl ring in the Mile High City, before signing a one-year contract with the Redskins in March.

Davis bought the four-bedroom, five-bathroom, Mediterranean-style home in 2012 for $1,980,000. He may have made some major design improvements, since he’s the founder of Modern Class Design, a full-service fine arts and interior design company, and was a studio art major at the University of Maryland. We’ll never know for sure, because the listing featured only exterior photos of the home. The listing states the home features marble and hardwood flooring, as well as “custom finishes throughout.”

Davis’ company also specializes in landscape architecture, and this home has some sweet outdoor features, including a pool and spa with a view of the hills, a couple of pergolas, fountains, a fire pit, a children’s play area, and an outdoor kitchen with granite counters and a stainless-steel grill.

While it’s unclear where Davis will live now that he’s playing in the nation’s capital, there is one house in the area he couldn’t resist taking a look at: the White House. Davis joined his former teammates when they made the traditional White House visit earlier this month, celebrating their Super Bowl victory.
