Slugger Bryce Harper Buys Cool Contemporary in Nevada for .7M
Baseball phenom Bryce Harper, the first-place Washington Nationals‘ star slugger, has dropped $2.7 million on a sleek and contemporary home near Las Vegas, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The 7,400-square-foot mansion is located in Henderson, NV, and offers distant views of the Las Vegas Strip. The house features a cascading water wall, vaulted foyer, and floating staircase. Other wow factors include a glass-enclosed wine wall for 360 bottles, and an upstairs kitchenette and game room.
The 2015 National League MVP is no stranger to the bright lights of Las Vegas. He attended Las Vegas High School and the College of Southern Nevada before beginning his quick ascent in Major League Baseball. In fact, his five-bedroom childhood home in Vegas is for sale for $329,995.
A hardball prodigy, Harper was the first overall pick by the Nats in the 2010 MLB draft after being featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated at the age of 16. Now 23, he’s already made the All-Star team four times and snagged the Silver Slugger award in 2015 thanks to his league-leading 42 home runs.
