Actress Gretchen Mol Sells Her Utterly Charming Craftsman in Venice, CA
“Boardwalk Empire” actress Gretchen Mol and her husband, filmmaker Tod Williams, made quick work of the sale of their home in Venice, CA, which went for $1.91 million in June. On the market for a mere couple of weeks, it sold for a cool $215,000 over the asking price, says the Los Angeles Times.
Built in 1914, the Craftsman-style home, which sits behind privacy hedges and fences, features a formal living room with fireplace and kitchen decked out with Carrara marble counters, huge island, and breakfast nook.
The property, which also includes a detached studio, has a sum total of three bedrooms and three baths.
Mol and Williams paid $1.5 million for the property in 2005. The couple listed the home for $1,695,000 in late May, but the charming Craftsman commanded a price way over asking.
A former model, Mol, 45, has starred in “Rounders,” “The Thirteenth Floor,” and “The Notorious Bettie Page.” She’s perhaps best known as the showgirl and mother of a gangster in HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire.” Williams wrote and directed “The Door in the Floor,” a 2004 film.
