She’s a Valley Girl! Jamie-Lynn Sigler Buys .1M Valley Village Home

It’s no wonder “Sopranos” star Jamie-Lynn Sigler was in a hurry to sell her 2,187-square-foot home in the Hollywood Hills—her newer, larger house in a quieter neighborhood was done and ready for her to move in.

Sigler put her Hollywood Hills home on the market in October and priced it aggressively at $2,025,000. Her strategy paid off—the home was under contract in two weeks.

The actress turned around and bought an exquisitely remodeled 4,200-square-foot home in the bucolic San Fernando Valley enclave of Valley Village for $2.1 million. The deal closed in early November.

Sigler’s new modern-meets-traditional home appears quaint on the exterior, but inside it features four bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The luxurious master suite has a fireplace, a sitting area, his-and-her walk-in closets, and a master bathroom with an oversize shower and soaking tub. A 15-foot ceiling with exposed beams top the expansive great room, which opens into a light-filled chef’s kitchen. Out back there’s a covered patio with a fireplace, built-in barbecue, and pool.

If you’re unfamiliar with Valley Village, the likes of Tom Hanks, Ed Asner, and director Paul Thomas Anderson have called it home. In fact, Anderson grew up in this charming neighborhood just north of Studio City, and shot his film “Magnolia” in the area. You’ve seen the neighborhood in countless movies, TV shows, and commercials. Many of the homes easily stand in for other areas of the country, and the neighborhood is within a few miles of the area’s biggest studios.

Known best for her role as headstrong daughter Meadow Soprano on the HBO series “The Sopranos,” the 35-year-old Sigler got her start on stage in New York at age 7. She’s married to baseball player Cutter Dykstra, son of Lenny Dykstra, and has one son.

Since “The Sopranos,” Sigler has had recurring roles on TV series including “Entourage,” “Ugly Betty,” “Guys With Kids,” and “Baby Daddy.”
