Actress Meg Ryan’s Selling Her Picture-Perfect SoHo Loft for M

Savvy Meg Ryan. It’s truly all about timing. Just a few months before she put her 4,100-square-foot SoHo loft on the market for $10.9 million, it was a featured in Architectural Digest.

The fifth-floor condo, which the actress purchased from actor Hank Azaria in 2014 for $8 million, is a full-floor loft with three bedrooms and three baths. Ryan, who starred in “When Harry Met Sally,” completely renovated the loft.

“I think it’s tied to living the actor’s life,” Ryan told Architectural Digest, explaining her renovation lust. “As an actor, you are so rarely in control. You’re always saying words that someone else has given you, standing in a room that someone else has designed, to create a reality that someone else wants to see. But with decorating I am in control; it’s a chance for me to bring my vision into the world.”

A key-lock elevator arrives at a private entry foyer with a light-flooded gallery with five huge windows facing west onto Mercer Street, the listing says.

The spacious living room features six architectural columns and dark wood flooring. A formal dining room has a decorative fireplace and built-in storage, and the media room has exposed brick.

The white kitchen is brightened by three large windows and boasts marble counters and backsplashes, walls with subway tile work, and a six-burner Viking range.

Corcoran’s Barbara Hochhauser is the listing agent, and she says the space is simply “fabulous.”
