Pete Sampras Sells His Brentwood Mansion to Matt Bellamy of Muse
Retired tennis great Pete Sampras has sold his Brentwood, CA, home for $7.25 million to a trust linked to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, says Variety.
Sampras’ home hit the market for $8.9 million last summer. Even though he had to budge a bit on the price to close a deal, the seven-time Wimbledon champ still winds up a winner. He and his wife, actress Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, paid only $5.6 million for the Craftsman-style home in 2009.
Located in a cul-de-sac, the home has six bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and first- and second-floor master suites with heated floors and huge closets. The recently renovated home boasts a gleaming white kitchen, family room with fireplace, theater room, wine cellar, and hardwood floors.
The outdoor features include a dining terrace with grilling station, fireplace, and swimming pool and spa. There is no tennis court.
Sampras, 44, is a 14-time Grand Slam champ in men’s singles. His wife, Wilson-Sampras, 42, has appeared in the films “Billy Madison” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
Bellamy, 38, is best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and pianist for Muse, a Grammy-winning, English rock band. He dated actress Kate Hudson for a number of years, but the couple broke up in 2014.
