In 2013, former NFL kicker Olindo Mare lined up to kick a $2.1 million field goal with the listing of his mansion in Mooresville, NC.

Four years later, he’s still looking to boot the same home through the uprights—but he has moved his house into better field position to score a sale this time around.

Mare recently put his six-bedroom, nine-bathroom mansion back on the market, at a reduced price of $1.8 million.

The 8,000-square-foot mansion is perfect for the golf lover, as it overlooks the 10th green of Trump National Golf Club Charlotte. Bank of America Stadium—the home of the Carolina Panthers—sits about 35 miles south of this gorgeous retreat.

The home offers luxury features and craftsmanship, including a pair of fireplaces, wood beams, two laundry rooms, and a walk-in pantry.

The finished basement could be turned into a mean man cave or an income opportunity, as it features a bedroom suite, kitchen, family room, and exercise room.

Outside, there’s a saltwater pool, cabana, stone deck, and patio with fireplace. The entire backyard overlooks the heart of beautiful Lake Norman.

Mare began his career with the Miami Dolphins in 1997 and was named to the All-Pro team in 1999. He departed for New Orleans after 10 seasons with the Fins, but not before making his name as the team’s all-time leading scorer. After New Orleans, the kicker bounced around the league with stints in Seattle, Carolina, and Chicago.

Over 16 NFL seasons, Mare hit 346 of his 459 field goal attempts and nailed nearly 99% of his extra points attempts. He finished his career with 1,555 points—ranking him 20th all-time in National Football League history.
