All-Star Reliever Pat Neshek Buys Waterfront Mansion in Florida
The wins are piling up for All-Star reliever Pat Neshek.
He was part of a gold medal performance at the recent 2017 World Baseball Classic, and in December the reliever added a new mansion to his trophy case.
The purchase of a $2 million home in Melbourne Beach, FL, was a win for the right-hander out of Madison, WI. The home, built in 1998, originally hit the market in 2015 for $2.6 million, which means the Philadelphia Phillies‘ hurler scored a deal.
The two-story mansion sits on the banks of Melbourne’s Indian River. It has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The master suite has his-and-her walk-in closets and bathroom with jetted tubs and double sinks.
Inside, the open floor plan features a kitchen with a wet bar, pantry, breakfast bar and nook, plus an adjacent dining room. There’s also an office/library, formal living room, great room, and laundry room.
Outside, there’s a patio, pool, balconies, and barbecue.
Neshek, a 10-year MLB veteran, has a lifetime 28-19 record with a 2.93 ERA. His best MLB season came in 2014, when he recorded a 1.87 ERA as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. He would make his first and only All-Star team that season. After a pair of years with the Houston Astros, Neshek signed a one-year deal with the Phillies worth $6.5 million.
Off the field, he’s known as one of the sport’s most prominent collectors of autographed baseball cards—and now he has a place to store his massive collection.
