Barack Obama will forever be known as a resident of the White House, but let’s not forget the New York City homes where he resided during his formative years.

It’s known that during his junior year at Columbia University, Obama lived in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit at 142 W. 109th St. (It’s been up for rent a few times since he first was president.)

But after graduating from that famed Morningside Heights institution in 1983, Obama — who still had a handful of years to go until he met Michelle — lived on the top floor of a Park Slope townhouse in the mid-1980s.

That Brooklyn property, located at 640 Second St., listed today for $4.29 million.

Charles L. Ruoff and Alexis Kravitz of Brown Harris Stevens are marketing the townhouse. The brokerage declined to comment.

It’s not clear when this 10-room home was converted for single-family use. The property now comes with five bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as four decorative fireplaces.

The 10-room home dates to the early 20th century.

The home dates back to the early 20th century, and it still shows its period details, according to the listing. Those include an original china cabinet in the double parlor, an original clawfoot bathtub in one of the bathrooms and a Victorian “inglenook,” or seating area, on the third floor.

Modern touches include a renovated eat-in kitchen, which sports slate and soapstone counters, custom cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances. Just outside, the oversize private garden has plenty of room for seating.

A sale of this home would mark the first time in more than 20 years that it’s traded hands. It was last purchased in 1994 for an unknown sum, according to city records.
