Ex-NFL Star and New CBS Analyst Nate Burleson Selling Arizona Mansion

A former NFL wide receiver has turned on the jets and is looking to score big in Scottsdale, AZ. Nate Burleson, who played 11 seasons in the NFL for three different teams, has listed his mansion for a cool $1,975,000.

Records show the 1-acre property was purchased by Burleson in June 2015 for $1.92 million. According to the listing agent, the mansion had a hefty makeover and potential buyers are displaying the same sort of speed Burleson displayed on the gridiron. After just a couple of weeks on the market, the home’s under contract.

The 6,000-square-foot mansion is located in a gated community adjacent to the Starfire Golf Course. It features an open floor plan, guesthouse, resort-style pool and spa, sport court, built-in barbecue, and putting green.

Inside, you’ll find six bedrooms and six baths, along with a movie theater, viewing deck, and four-car garage.

The wide receiver went deep with the mansion’s restoration. Some of the new features include wood beam ceilings, cantera stone fireplaces, fiorito marble, automated pocket doors, and chef’s kitchen.

A native of Calgary and a collegiate star at the University of Nevada, Burleson might have planned to retire in the warmer climes of the desert and commute to the NFL Network studios in Southern California. However, he recently landed a network gig with CBS which will require a more frequent presence on the East Coast.

The speedy wideout caught 457 passes in his career with the Vikings, Seahawks, and Lions and finished his career with 39 touchdowns. He retired in 2014 and soon joined the NFL Network as an analyst. This season, fans can catch Burleson on CBS’ “The NFL Today.”
