‘Incredibles’ Director Brad Bird Puts His Terrific Tiburon Home Up for Rent
“Tomorrowland” director Brad Bird is renting out his Tiburon, CA, home. The monthly rent will set you back $10,500.
The Marin County charmer is certainly ready for its close-up. According to the listing, the “vintage” four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home has “stunning views” of San Francisco, Angel Island, and the San Francisco Bay.
The main level features a living room with exposed wood beams, a fireplace, and bay window seating. There’s also a formal dining room with views, a kitchen with upgraded appliances, and a breakfast room, also with views.
Rounding out the main level are two bedrooms and 1.5 baths with a laundry room. There’s a bonus room on the lower level. The upper level is taken up by the master suite with a walk-in closet, bay views, and a reading room.
Bird honed his talents working as an executive consultant on “The Simpsons” for eight seasons, and found giant-sized success with “The Incredibles” in 2004. During the making of the movie, he moved from L.A. to Tiburon—across the bay from Pixar’s Emeryville headquarters, with his wife and three sons, according to SFGate.com.
Tiburon is situated on a peninsula that juts out onto the sparkling bay. Tourists and commuters alike are attracted to the upscale town, which offers access to bike and hiking trails as well as boating, restaurants and shops, and even a film festival.
Bird made headlines when he and wife Elizabeth purchased a Los Feliz property in Los Angeles for $4.05 million in 2014. The filmmaker is also known for the Oscar-winning “Ratatouille” and the live-action “Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol.”
