Former Sports Radio Host Craig Carton Lists NJ Mansion for .4M
Craig Carton, the former co-host of the popular “Boomer & Carton” sports radio program on WFAN, has listed his Chester Township, NJ, mansion for $2.4 million.
Carton stepped down from his position last month after he was charged with securities and wire fraud in connection to a concert ticket Ponzi scheme, according to the New York Post. Carton called the legal issues “unfounded.”
So now unemployed and facing legal trouble, he’s selling his winning piece of real estate for $2.4 million. Let’s tune in and take a look.
The 4.39-acre property features a house with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and two half-baths. Built in 2009, the house has a steel beam-and-stone construction and open floor plan.
The home features a grand entry foyer, eat-in kitchen, wood-paneled library, formal dining room, family room, and five fireplaces. The master suite has a private balcony, and the other bedrooms have en suite baths. There’s also an in-law suite with a separate entrance and kitchenette.
The mansion seems fully equipped for a sports lover. Check out the walk-out basement with rec room, exercise room, full bath, and easy access to the pool area. There’s also a 12-seat home theater and two game rooms. Outside there’s a heated saltwater pool and sport court.
Carton began his radio career in 1991, and broadcast at stations from Cleveland to Philadelphia to Denver, where his show, “The Fan,” became the highest-rated show in the station’s history. After stints at stations in New York and New Jersey, in 2007 he joined co-host Boomer Esiason to launch a morning show on WFAN, the NYC sports radio behemoth.
Their show took off, ranking No. 1 with men aged 25–54 within a year. Since 2014, the show has been simulcast on CBS Sports Network. With Carton officially out, the station is looking to fill his spot, the Post reported.
