Former 49er Patrick Willis Takes a Price Hit With Sale of San Jose Mansion
Patrick Willis can finally claim victory in the real estate game, but his win came at a serious discount. The former All-Pro linebacker finally sold his San Jose, CA, home for $4.26 million. Warren Newsome was the listing agent.
The South Bay mansion had been on and off the market since 2015, when the ex-San Francisco 49er star initially listed it for $6 million. The home was relisted in September for $5.5 million, and the sale finally closed last week. Property records indicate Willis had purchased the home in 2010 for $3.5 million.
Built in 2007, the Mediterranean-style home sits on a 4.3-acre parcel and comes with many high-end details. Measuring almost 10,000 square feet, the home has four bedrooms, five baths, and one half-bath.
There’s a “resort-style” infinity pool with views of Almaden Valley, and five outdoor seating areas with an outdoor kitchen. The new owner can enjoy the indoor game room with a wet bar, home theater, and wine cellar.
The master bedroom and guest quarters are located on the first floor. Along with “top-of-the-line technology systems” are a solar farm, a detached garage with boat parking, and a gym.
Only 32, Willis retired from football in 2015, after an eight-year career with the 49ers, due to a lingering injury he struggled with during the 2014 season.
