Timbaland’s Miami Mansion Taken Off Market After Reported Real Estate Rumble
Recent events surrounding Grammy-winning record producer Timbaland’s real estate dealings may make him want to say, “Give It to Me.” Timbaland, who has collaborated with Justin Timberlake, JAY Z, and Missy Elliott, is having trouble selling his Miami mansion, which was most recently on the market in late January for $3.39 million.
The hit-maker reportedly found a buyer in William Zamora, who was allowed to live in the home during escrow. However, the sale apparently fell through, and now Timbaland has apparently filed a lawsuit, claiming Zamora is staying in the home illegally.
According to news reports, Timbaland, whose given name is Timothy Mosley, has been attempting to sell the home since his recent divorce. Now, he argues, he can’t sell the home if there’s someone already living in it who refuses to leave.
Zamora reportedly countersued, claiming that he can’t buy the home because there are liens on the property.
Timbaland purchased the home in 2004 for $3,475,000. In January 2017 he listed the home for $4.4 million. Last summer, he cut the price to $3.39 million, where it remained until just last week, when the listing was mysteriously pulled from the market.
In case the home bounces back on the market, here’s what you need to know about what’s inside.
The 10,689-square-foot home on 1.51 acres has seven beds and five baths. The layout includes a living room with gas fireplace, a game room, formal dining room, home theater, den, family room with flat-screen TV, built-in wet bar, a room-to-room aquarium, chef’s kitchen, staff quarters, and a three-car garage. Outside, there’s a pool, covered barbecue, and a tennis court shared with a neighbor.
Apparently the reported drama around the home hasn’t cramped the 45-year-old’s style. He was recently reported to have purchased a pair of “sky homes” that will be combined in the luxe Aria tower, which is currently under-construction, in downtown Miami.
Things may be looking up for Timbaland, who recently released “Filthy,” a collaboration with Timberlake.
