‘This Is Us’ Star Justin Hartley Buys Modern Farmhouse for .65M

“This Is Us” star Justin Hartley just purchased a newly built modern farmhouse in Encino, CA, according to Variety. The actor’s wife, Chrishell Hartley, a cast member on the Netflix reality show “Selling Sunset,” sealed the deal.

The 42-year-old actor paid $4.65 million for the 6,762-square-foot, single-level home. The gated property has six bedrooms and 7.5 baths. 

Surrounded by mature trees, the home features high ceilings at the entry and exposed wood beams in the living room with a fireplace. Pocket doors open to a courtyard.

The elegant interior includes a formal dining room, a temperature-controlled and glassed-in wine room, and a chef’s kitchen with two islands and a walk-in pantry. The cooking area opens out to a family room and breakfast nook. Other perks include a butler’s pantry, an office, and a home theater.

The huge master suite features a separate entrance, a seating area with a fireplace, a wet bar, and French doors overlooking the courtyard. The master bath includes a jetted tub and steam shower. The additional bedrooms are also en suite. 

Outdoors, the large lot features a grassy backyard, a fireplace and lounge, a built-in barbecue and covered dining area, plus a pool and pool house. There’s also a sport court behind the garage. 

Hartley last made real estate headlines in 2017, when he purchased a newly built home in Valley Glen for around $1.67 million, the Los Angeles Times reported at the time.

This newest upscale purchase represents a serious step up for the star. 

The Emmy-nominated performer may be recognized from his past roles as a soap star on “The Young and the Restless.” He also appeared in the ABC drama “Revenge,” and CW’s “Smallville.” The Illinois native may be best known for his part in the hit NBC series “This Is Us.”
