L.A. Clippers Coach Doc Rivers Selling L.A. Compound for .9M
Clippers coach Doc Rivers is drawing up a play for the sale of his Los Angeles compound. The Hamptons-style home is on the market for a little under $12 million.
Rivers was named head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers in 2013, the same year he bought a high-rise condo in the swank Beverly West Residences for $5,506,000, according to the Los Angeles Times.
But he quickly traded condo living for this posh compound, paying $8.2 million for it in 2014. And if the listing goes for anywhere near asking price, Rivers will score a handsome profit.
The home itself? Also a big win.
Located on a cul-de-sac in the coveted Bird Streets neighborhood, the designer home offers city and ocean views.
The 3,950-square-foot home has three beds and 3.5 baths. The property also comes with a separate guesthouse.
The formal living room flows into a dining room and opens to the outdoors. The chef’s kitchen features a large center island and a built-in banquette, and opens to the family room.
The spacious master suite has dual closets and an office. The master bath comes with dual vanities, a steam shower, and a tub overlooking a private outdoor terrace. Two more en suite bedrooms complete the main house.
Outside, an “incomparable” space built for hosting parties includes a pool, spa, bar, kitchen, and lounge areas.
Rivers is coming off a fascinating season for the Clippers, leading a young team that was supposed to be rebuilding into the first round of the NBA playoffs. Previously he coached the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic.
