Heeeere’s this week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®. Legendary late-night host Johnny Carson’s former residence in Malibu, CA, just landed on the market for $81.5 million.

The home was reportedly last sold in 2007 for $46 million by Carson’s widow to the film producer and founder of Jones Apparel Group, Sidney Kimmel. This week, the billionaire placed the estate back on the market for almost double what he paid.

The “iconic” property offers “a rare combination of land, location, architecture, and beauty,” the listing states. And, of course, the esteemed celebrity connection.

Built in 1980 and designed by architect Ed Niles, the stunning home is a “secluded masterpiece” that rises above the Point Dume bluffs. Its modern form is based on geometric shapes.

The two-bedroom, 4.5-bath property offers 7,083 square feet of living space and sits on 4.1 acres, including beach access.

Constructed of wood and glass, the light-filled space features a 30-foot glass ceiling and indoor arboretum. The home looks out to the Pacific Ocean

Outdoors, the resort-style pool is surrounded by a sun deck.

The landscape features 2 acres of manicured gardens, a koi pond, waterfalls, a tennis court, a pavilion with two guest suites with gym and locker room, and a guesthouse. Additional amenities include an office for staff, elevator, laundry, garage, motor court, and staff parking.

The “Tonight Show” host, who died in 2005, bought the estate in 1984 for about $9.5 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
