Longtime NBA power forward Carlos Boozer has put his Mediterranean-style mansion in Pinecrest, FL, on the market for $3.95 million.

Boozer, who has bought and sold multiple homes in the Miami area over his 14-year NBA career, purchased the home in 2012 for $1.8 million. If it sells for its asking price, he’ll clear around $2 million on the deal.

Double gates flanked by palm trees open to a circular driveway and wide front lawn with tropical landscaping. The 7,250-square-foot, single-story house sits on an acre lot and has seven bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms.

Double entry doors open to a marble-floored foyer and dining room. There are marble floors and custom ceilings throughout the house. The living room features a coffered ceiling and french doors that open to the covered patio and backyard.

The chef’s kitchen has an island with a stone countertop and waterfall edge, modern cabinetry, wood-paneled refrigerator, stainless-steel wine fridge, and designer appliances. It leads to a breakfast nook and family room, which has a dramatic tray ceiling.

The master bedroom has french doors that open to the patio, and a master bathroom with soaking tub, separate shower, and dual sinks on opposite sides of the room. The backyard has a custom pool and spa, palm trees, basketball court (of course), beach area with fire pit, kitchen and barbecue, and covered bar.

Elsewhere, there’s a media room and a one-bedroom, one-bath guesthouse. The home includes a 16-camera Crestron security system and a 20-kilowatt Generac generator.

Boozer, 35, played basketball at Duke, helping his team win the 2001 NCAA Championship. He was drafted the following year by the Cleveland Cavaliers and went on to play for the Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers. He was selected for the 2004 and 2008 men’s Olympic basketball teams, taking home bronze and gold, respectively. He currently plays for the Guangdong Southern Tigers in China.

The hoops star is also at the center of a legendary real estate tale. In 2004, music royalty Prince famously rented Boozer’s 10-bedroom mansion in West Hollywood for $95,000 per month and promptly began renovating it without Boozer’s permission. That included changing the home’s front gates, painting pillars purple, installing purple carpet with his logo on the marble entry stairs, ripping out the home’s Italian carpet and replacing it with black carpet, turning the weight room into a nightclub, and turning one of the guest rooms into a hair salon and massage room.

The Purple One reportedly changed everything in the house back to its original condition when he moved out.
