World champion boxer Beibut Shumenov is selling his lavish lakefront home in Las Vegas for $4.5 million.
The home is part of the exclusive Sahara Estates neighborhood, which is, according to listing agent Shannon Smith, situated around a lake. Residents include a who’s who of Vegas and beyond.
Shumenov’s 9,400-square-foot residence has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and four half-bathrooms. Built in 2008, the home features formal areas for entertaining as well as laid-back spots for fun.
The living and dining rooms are refined and regal, while the backyard pool slide and full gym (complete with kids equipment) are all about creating a place for family fun. For further entertainment options, there’s also a home theater with bar and a wine cellar.
The master suite offers sophistication thanks to its huge bathroom and custom closet. The latter is outfitted with a hyperbaric chamber, used by athletes to help with recovery from injury. We asked Smith if the chamber was included in the purchase price, and he told us everything’s negotiable. Except the title belts, of course.
Originally from Kazakhstan, Shumenov comes from a wealthy family and had a burgeoning legal career back home. He tossed it all aside at the age of 24 to move to Vegas and train in the ring. His decision to lace up the gloves proved prophetic.
During his pugilistic career spanning more than a decade, Shumenov has won WBA world championships as both a cruiserweight and a light heavyweight. The champ’s now ready to part with this luxe property to custom-build a larger home complete with its own boxing gym, according to Smith.
