‘Brady Bunch’ Star Maureen McCormick Sells a SoCal House
Actress Maureen McCormick, aka “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia” from “The Brady Bunch,” has sold a Woodland Hills, CA, property she inherited. The three-bedroom home on a tree-lined street fetched $635,000, a bit less than its $664,900 asking price.
Listing agent Liz Halen of White House Properties says the house was on the market for about three months before it sold in August. She adds that McCormick, recently on “Dancing With the Stars,” couldn’t have been nicer and more beautiful. “She’s wonderful,” Halen says.
The 1,346-square-foot house was built in 1952 and includes three bedrooms and two baths. The house has hardwood floors and a brick fireplace beneath a wood-beamed ceiling in the living room. The backyard sports a brick patio.
McCormick, 60, portrayed Marcia Brady, the oldest of three sisters on the popular ABC sitcom, which ran from 1969 to 1974, and appeared in numerous spinoffs and films, including “The Brady Brides” and “A Very Brady Christmas.” McCormick has also had a stage and recording career.
In 2008, McCormick, who has struggled with depression and bulimia, published an autobiography, “Here’s the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice.”
She competed in this season’s “Dancing With the Stars” and was in the news recently commenting on the recent death of actress Florence Henderson, who played her TV mother Carol Brady on “The Brady Bunch” and remained a close friend.
Henderson died on Thanksgiving from heart failure at age 82, just a few weeks after making a “DWTS” cameo to support McCormick. During the spot, Henderson said, “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia,” the trademark line associated with McCormick.
