The Los Angeles home where actress Brittany Murphy and film producer husband, Simon Monjack, both died months apart from each other has returned to market, asking a cool $18.4 million.

The sum may sound lofty, but it’s a $1 million discount off its original ticket price, according to TMZ, which first reported news of this listing.

Perched above the Sunset Strip, this 9,400-square-foot spread reportedly underwent a thorough ground-up renovation following the pair’s deaths.

Murphy, perhaps best known for her role as Tai in the classic ’90s teen movie “Clueless,” passed away here in late 2009 in a bed reportedly surrounded by medical supplies, an oxygen machine, clothes and cosmetics. The coroner concluded her death was caused by multiple drug intoxication, pneumonia and anemia. Monjack’s death, which took place in the home in mid-2010, was caused by pneumonia and anemia.

Subsequent suspicions regarding their passings centered on toxic mold inside the house, but the medical examiner’s office dismissed this claim. Other rumors pointed to poisoning.

Located at 1895 Rising Glen Road — some three miles from glitzy Beverly Hills — this gated five-bedroom home sits on 1.18 acres. Murphy bought the residence from Britney Spears in 2003.
