Not long after re-signing with the Arizona Cardinals, rusher Chris Johnson is selling his longtime home in Brentwood, TN, for $1,124,900.

The 30-year-old running back has owned the place since 2008, the same year he began his NFL career when the Tennessee Titans picked him in the draft.

“He just wasn’t ready to part with it until now,” says Renata Jernigan of The Agency Luxe, who is co-listing the property with Chris Fuller of Parks Realty LLC. Built in 1998, the home had been remodeled at the time of purchase, according to Jernigan. She says a “big selling point” of the home is privacy, thanks to its placement atop a hill. “You really feel like you’re on top of the world looking down from his driveway,” she says.

The three-time Pro Bowler’s house measures 7,621 square feet. It has five bedrooms, a four-car garage, and a large backyard pool.

There’s also a grand foyer, eat-in kitchen, luxury study, five fireplaces, and a basement with a mini kitchen, exercise room, and office.

Jernigan says the house “has that Southern charm from the moment you drive up to it, to the moment you walk up the steps into the front door.”

Johnson re-signed with the Cardinals under a $3 million one-year contract in March. He had spent the majority of his NFL career playing for Tennessee, from 2008 to 2013, then played one season with the New York Jets before heading to Arizona last year.

“The house was a great place to get away during the off-season. He loved the neighborhood, the town, and surroundings,” Jernigan says.
