After owning it for a decade, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has sold his postcard-perfect beach house in Del Mar, CA, for $5.8 million.

Ocean views and lush landscaping combine with craftsman charm to make this elegant home—located right in the heart of upscale Del Mar Village—the ideal SoCal spot to soak up the sun and enjoy beach breezes.

The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 3,809-square-foot home was built in 2007, the same year Palmer purchased the property for $4.75 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. The home was on the market for only a week in November before going into escrow; it wound up selling for just $100,000 under the $5.9 million list price.

Rande Turner was the home’s listing agent. According to Fox Sports, the recent sales of this Del Mar home and Palmer’s Phoenix home may signal the QB’s retirement is imminent after 15 seasons in the NFL.

Palmer had a rough season in 2017 and struggled before being sidelined with a broken arm.

Palmer won the Heisman Trophy in 2002 while attending the University of Southern California and was drafted as the first overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2003. In 2011 he was traded to the Oakland Raiders, with whom he played for two seasons before being traded in 2013 to the Cardinals.
