Chandler Parsons Scores Sale of Modern Farmhouse Mansion in Bel Air
NBA journeyman Chandler Parsons took a million-dollar-plus hit off the original asking price of his modern farmhouse, in order to sell it for $12,350,000.
However, we can still chalk it up as a win—he bought the place in Bel Air in 2017 for $10,900,000.
Originally asking $13,500,000 for it when he listed it in May, Parsons was playing for the Memphis Grizzlies at the time. But he—like many big ballers in the NBA—enjoyed keeping a place in Southern California for the off-season.
His busy love life has been tabloid fodder, and he spent time with supermodel Cassie Amato. According to TMZ, the buzzer has sounded on that relationship, so Parsons is back on the prowl.
When he did have time to settle down in Bel Air, he enjoyed plenty of plush entertainment space. The home opens to a double-story entryway with an unusual and intriguing double staircase, leading to a six-bedroom, nine-bathroom, 11,864-square-foot mansion.
The residence sits on three-quarters of an acre near the Bel Air Hotel, and includes additional winning features like a bright white open chef’s kitchen with a massive island, and a swanky, modern bistro-style wine room with a full bar and a fireplace. There’s also a plush home theater to screen game film or just Netflix and chill.
The spacious master suite is fit for an NBA baller, with vaulted ceilings, private balcony, marble fireplace, a spalike marble bath with oversized everything, and a walk-in closet the size of a locker room.
The grounds include a pool and spa, a basketball half-court, an outdoor kitchen and dining room, plus a lush green lawn, along with a number of seating/conversation areas.
Parsons has bounced around the NBA since he was drafted out of the University of Florida by the Houston Rockets in 2011. Shortly after signing a four-year, $94 million contract with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2016, he was sidelined with ongoing knee problems. He wound up playing only 95 games for the Grizz over three seasons, before being traded to Atlanta this summer.
Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker represented the seller.
