Chicago Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane Selling .2M Mansion on Lake Erie

NHL All-Star and three-time Stanley Cup champ Patrick Kane is selling a palatial home in Hamburg, NY, just outside of his hometown of Buffalo. You can score his five-bedroom, 5,878-square-foot home on Lake Erie for a cool $3.2 million.

According to the Buffalo Business Journal, the high-scoring winger has lived in luxury rentals and apartments in both Buffalo and Chicago. In fact, he’s currently trying to unload his $2.15 million, two-bedroom condo in the Windy City’s Trump Tower. The 33rd-floor unit has been on the market since July.

As for the action in New York, the Hamburg home is the first home Kane purchased with his NHL dough. It’s certainly fit for an MVP—it features luxury amenities including a whirlpool bath tub, home theater and bar, and a boat launch on the lake.

The home features extensive woodwork throughout, particularly in the spacious kitchen. The double stove and oven even features an ornately carved hood. There’s also a wine chiller and an island big enough for a whole line of forwards and defensemen to watch you cook dinner.

The two-story family room’s high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows offer a light contrast to the mansion’s extensive woodwork. The pool is just outside, but the mansion’s true gem is the view of Lake Erie.

Kane was the top pick in the 2007 NHL draft by the Chicago Blackhawks, and his scoring talents have helped lead the team to three Stanley Cups. He’s landed on the wrong side of the law when spending the summer in his hometown. He was charged with assaulting a cabdriver in 2009, but the charges were later dropped. A 2015 rape case was later dropped as well after his accuser declined to prosecute.
