‘Die Hard’ Star Bruce Willis Snags Contemporary M Condo in NYC

Actor Bruce Willis has an upcoming sequel—this time in real estate. After the action star and his wife, model Emma Heming, listed their 6,000-square-foot duplex on Manhattan’s Upper West Side for a hefty $17.75 million (reportedly in contract), they purchased a newer condo nearby that’s half the size and lower in cost.
The high-floor apartment is located in One West End, a new residential tower that takes up an entire block just west of Manhattan‘s Lincoln Center. The four-bedroom, 4.5-bath, 3,000-square-foot unit was last listed at $7.9 million, Variety reports. It features floor-to-ceiling windows,10.6-foot-high ceilings, and wide-plank walnut flooring throughout the home.
The kitchen is adjacent to the living room, and contains marble slab counters and backsplash. John Gomes, one of the unit’s listing agents, of The Eklund|Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate, told the Wall Street Journal that the kitchen’s features sold the couple. They included a pasta-making station and built-in coffee machine.
The elegantly appointed 42-story tower was designed by the firm Pelli Clarke Pelli. It contains 246 residences, and features extensive amenities, including a 75-foot indoor pool, fitness center and spa, children’s playroom, garden terrace, and on-site parking.

Willis has lived in the area on and off since the 1970s, and labeled himself an “Upper West Side guy” to the Journal. While their last NYC pad was near Central Park, the couple’s new apartment might have a more appealing upside: It’s easily accessible to the highway that goes to the couple’s 22-acre spread in Bedford, NY.
Willis, 62, is currently filming “Motherless Brooklyn,” and can be seen in the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan film, “Glass,” as well as the 2018 thriller “Death Wish.”
