Eva Longoria Lists Secluded Compound in Hollywood Hills for M

Actress and producer Eva Longoria has put her Hollywood Hills home on the market for $14 million.

The star purchased the place from none other than Tom Cruise for $11.4 million in 2015. At the time, she had just become engaged to José “Pepe” Bastón, now her husband.

She told Us magazine that when she saw the L.A. property, it was love at first sight. “I know Tom; he’s a lovely person. He did a very, very good job on this house because it was stunning and beautiful, and the minute we walked in I was like, ‘This, this is a home.’”

After a short stint living there, she decided to move to another spot in nearby Beverly Crest. Multiple reports note the actress paid $13.5 million for a more contemporary build. So the “Desperate Housewives” actress must be just a bit desperate to unload her real estate.

Not that this place should be a hard sell.

The one-of-a-kind “celebrity compound” is designed for the paparazzi-averse set, according to the listing.  As we noted in 2015, when Cruise was selling the house: “Set back from Mulholland Drive on its own knoll, the home has a long, private driveway that separates prying eyes from the home’s occupants.” This home is for lovers of extreme privacy. So A-list celebs, step right up.

The 2.5-acre lot is filled with trees and walkways and has 180 degree views. The property includes two houses: a three-bedroom European-style villa and a four-bedroom country-style guesthouse. There is also a small stone cottage that could be a wine room. Two small studios lie just off the main pathways.

The main house features a country-style kitchen, a living room with fireplace, and large picture windows. The gated grounds include a lagoon-style pool and spa, fountains, gardens, and trellises.

Perhaps one reason Longoria decided to decamp to Beverly Hills was the same problem noted in our earlier story of the possible downside of the location. While you do get serenity and privacy, the property is rather secluded and inconvenient should you want to grab a cup of coffee or a drink.

Longoria’s acting credits include most recently the TV show “Empire.” She has produced shows “Telenovela” and “Devious Maids.”
