Farewell, Lambeau! Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie Selling His Green Bay Home
An NFL executive is no stranger to closing deals. Now Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie is trying to get a buyer to sign on the dotted line and take his modest home in Green Bay, WI, off the market.
McKenzie, who made a name for himself as an executive with the Green Bay Packers, has listed his two-story home in a cul-de-sac for $379,900. According to property records, the home on a half-acre lot was sold in 2008 for $440,000. It was put on the market in April 2016 and has since had three price changes.
McKenzie left the Green Bay area in 2012, after 18 years with the Packers, and accepted a job as the general manager of the Oakland Raiders.
The main draw of his four-bedroom, four-bathroom home is likely its proximity to Lambeau Field. The 4,185-square-foot house sits just 3 miles west of the storied stadium.
Set in a wooded area, the home features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, according to Zoe Van Oss, the listing agent. The master suite, with its tray ceiling, walk-in closet, and luxe bath, is a highlight of the second floor. Downstairs, buyers will find three more bedrooms and two baths.
Corian countertops and white cabinetry are features of the large kitchen. The backyard has a stone patio and gas fire pit.
After some initial struggles, McKenzie was responsible for turning around one of the NFL’s marquee franchises on the field.
McKenzie struck gold in recent drafts with players such as Khalil Mack, Derek Carr, and Amari Cooper. His draft acumen, coupled with savvy free-agent signings, fueled a Raiders resurgence that saw the 2016 squad make the playoffs for the first time since 2002.
McKenzie, a Knoxville, TN, native, signed a four-year extension to head the Raiders’ front office in 2016 — keeping the former NFL linebacker at the helm of the Silver and Black until the 2020 season.
