Fashion Star Heidi Klum Buys Fixer-Upper Penthouse for .1M

This Soho penthouse is “in” with model and TV personality Heidi Klum. The “Project Runway” host reportedly purchased the Manhattan loft for $5.1 million, according to news reports. We know she likes projects, and this fixer-upper is worthy of Klum’s eye for style and detail.

“This loft requires a total renovation,” the listing states. “This is an extremely rare opportunity for a discerning buyer to design and create the Architectural Digest penthouse loft of their dreams!”

The full-floor, 4,772-square-foot unit was used as an art studio for the past 30 years. It can now be reimagined as a residence or live-work space. Klum can let her dreams run wild here.

This top-floor unit is located in a six-story, Queen Anne–style building from the 1800s. It features high ceilings, deeded rights for the installation of 120 square feet of skylights, and possible rights to create a private terrace on the roof deck.

The numerous windows offer east, south, and southwest exposures, along with views of the city skyline.

Original architectural details include exposed beams and columns. The unit first went on the market in 2016 for $6.25 million, according to public records, so Klum got a nice little price break on what will surely be a massive undertaking.

The German-born businesswoman reportedly owns property in the Los Angeles area as well. She bought there after she and singer Seal divorced in 2014.
