Former Denver Nuggets coach George Karl truly loves Denver’s upscale Crestmoor Park neighborhood: This past weekend, he sold his second home in the neighborhood and is moving into his third.
The home he just parted with was sold in short order. The 7,800-square-foot, Tudor-style mansion was recently listed for $2 million, and Denver agents Bryan and Kris Uhl hosted an open house on Oct. 7. They received multiple offers over asking price and put the home into contract two days later.
The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom home features a grand entrance, Brazilian cherry wood flooring, a curved staircase, crown molding, beamed ceilings, leaded glass windows, and custom woodwork throughout.

The chef’s kitchen has a Wolf range, double ovens, custom cabinetry, granite countertops, a large island with breakfast bar, and a sunny breakfast room.

The Uhls, who have lived in the neighborhood for 15 years, were the agents who originally sold the home to Karl in 2012. The Karl family recently moved to their third home in the neighborhood.

“George has always been really great to work with,” Kris Uhl said.
Karl, 65, played several seasons of professional basketball before embarking on his coaching career in 1978. He coached six NBA teams to 1,175 victories, making him one of the most successful coaches in league history.
He served as the Nuggets’ head coach from 2005 to 2013, leading his team to the playoffs in each of his nine seasons. He was fired from his latest head coaching gig with the Sacramento Kings in April. Karl won NBA Coach of the Year in 2013, and served as the head coach of the NBA All-Star Game four times.
