Fired Bucks Coach Jason Kidd Sells Milwaukee Mansion for .7M
After losing his head coaching gig with the Milwaukee Bucks in January, Jason Kidd put his lakefront mansion in Milwaukee on the market. It was recently sold to a local family for $2.65 million. The deal was an easy layup for both parties.
Kidd and his family will walk away with a bit more than the $2.39 million they paid for the place in August 2014, just a month after Kidd landed the Bucks job.
According to the Milwaukee Business Times, venture capitalist John Miller purchased the two-story Tudor mansion on 1.5 acres of Lake Michigan frontage.
Built in the fancy Fox Point area of Milwaukee in 2009, the home measures 8,000 square feet and has six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.
Everything from the crown molding, to the rich wood flooring, to the muted color palette throughout the home is understated, which allows the lake views to be the focal point of the design.
Kidd was a 10-time NBA All-Star and ranks second in all-time career assists and steals behind John Stockton. During his 19-year career in the league he starred for the Phoenix Suns and New Jersey Nets. In 2011, Kidd was a veteran leader on the NBA champion Dallas Mavericks team.
Now the legendary point guard is looking for a new coaching job and has been rumored to be circling around teams such as the New York Knicks.
In February, Kidd was announced as a nominee for the basketball Hall of Fame and is a lock to join the immortals of the hardwood when the class of 2018 is announced later this month. For now, Kidd did manage to leave Milwaukee with a decisive real estate victory.
