Former Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians Selling Arizona Home
Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is flying away from his home in Chandler, AZ, which he just listed for $1.5 million.
Arians purchased the place for $1.2 million in 2013, the same year he joined the Cardinals. The 65-year-old announced his retirement from the team after the 2017 season.
For anyone in the market for a resortlike residence that’s located near the University of Phoenix stadium, this home is a touchdown.
“This home is truly your own personal resort that will be hard to leave,” says listing agent Cory Whyte with Re/Max Infinity and the Ryan-Whyte Real Estate Team.
Located in a gated community, the lakefront home comes with views of the adjacent Ocotillo Golf Course. The circular driveway has a gated courtyard with a gas fire pit and water feature.
The five-bedroom, five-bath, 5,000-square-foot home features a wall of glass that looks out to the pool, lake, and golf course. The eat-in kitchen has a hand-painted ceiling, breakfast bar, built-in espresso maker, coffee bar, and two wine fridges.
There’s also a dining room, office, and en suite guest room with separate entrance. The master suite includes a stone fireplace, exposed wood rafters, and private access to the backyard.
The finished basement has a great room with a kitchenette, and appears to be tricked out as a serious man cave, with sports memorabilia, flat-screen TV, bar seating, and even a bathroom with urinal. There’s also a 500-bottle wine cellar.
The next homeowner can decant a bottle just outside in the sunken patio, which features a waterfall, which is also visible on the main level. Outside, there’s a spacious backyard with fireplace, infinity pool and spa, and covered patio with built-in barbecue.
The New Jersey–born Arians played college football at Virginia Tech in the 1970s, and has been coaching ever since. He held assistant coach jobs with the Steelers and Colts, and was named AP Coach of the Year in 2012 and in 2014.
