Green Day Bassist Mike Dirnt Lists Mediterranean-Style Home in California for .8M

Green Day co-founder and bassist Mike Dirnt is saying “Good Riddance” to his Piedmont, CA, home. It’s on the market for $6.8 million.

The musician, whose given name is Michael Ryan Pritchard, had purchased the property in 2016 for $5.85 million.

Built in 1927, the gated home is a “stunning example of early California Mediterranean architecture,” the listing notes.

“Spectacular views, privacy, a three-quarter-acre lot, and comfortable yet grand spaces set this home apart,” says listing agent Heidi Marchesotti. “It’s difficult to find this sought-after combination in a home of this caliber.”

The interiors of the five-bedroom, 5.5-bath, 6,712-square-foot home feature high ceilings, hand-plastered walls, and hardwood flooring. The living room is graced with a beamed ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a fireplace. The wood-paneled dining room includes built-in shelving.
