Here’s a “Sign of the Times”: Pop star Harry Styles has finally found a buyer for his Los Angeles home after two years on the market, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The singer, who shot to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction, purchased the harmonious home in 2016 for $6.87 million. He reportedly used a limited liability company linked to his U.K. business manager for the purchase.
Then, only a year and a half after he bought it, the posh property came back on the market for a hefty $8.5 million list price. That ask failed to entice buyers, so the “Dunkirk” star reduced it to $7.9 million. The home got another haircut, to $7.5 million last year.
The new year brought a new price drop, to $6.9 million. The luxury abode was last on the market for $6.2 million in June, and finally sold for $6 million.
When the transaction finishes, Styles will have let the place go for a loss. Whoever acquired the spectacular showpiece is the winner in this deal.
Located in a prime section above the Sunset Strip, the gated property offers city views from every room. The interiors are sleek and modern, featuring a living space with oversize glass walls that open to the outdoors.
The living and dining room flow out to a large deck. The 4,400-square-foot home has four beds and five baths, a home theater, chef’s kitchen, and master suite that opens to a terrace.
The quarter-acre lot packs in a private terrace, swimming pool, and lounge spaces as well as a fire pit. Other perks include a yoga room off of the pool area, as well as a pool cabana with a bathroom. A driveway leads to a motor court and two-car garage.
While perhaps lacking the Midas touch with his real estate, the star has hit a high note with his career. With One Direction on indefinite hiatus, the 25-year-old’s solo debut in 2017 topped the charts. His single “Sign of the Times” received over 500 million-plus views on YouTube, and counting. And, the actor is reportedly in talks for the role of Prince Eric in the Disney live-action version of “Little Mermaid.”
