His Career on Fire, Trevor Noah Buys M Penthouse in Hell’s Kitchen
“The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah has paid $10 million for a penthouse just west of Broadway in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, according to Variety.
The brand-new duplex sits atop Stella Tower, a low-rise, prewar building designed in the late 1920s by architect Ralph Walker. The unit hit the market last year with a nearly $13 million price tag, which was later dropped to $11,495,000. Noah had been renting a two-bedroom apartment in Stella Tower, which reportedly was listed at $15,000 a month.
The 3,596-square-foot penthouse includes three en suite bedrooms and two half-baths. There’s a 29-foot-long dining/living room with dark wood flooring and huge windows.
The master suite occupies its own wing and includes a dressing room, bathroom with heated marble flooring, and steam shower.
The open kitchen boasts furniture-grade cabinetry and polished concrete counters. A 934-square-foot private terrace is the icing on this property.
The South African stand-up comedian inherited “The Daily Show” from Jon Stewart in 2015. After a rocky start, Noah has cemented his place parodying the day’s news with his own brand of humor. In addition to his hosting duties, he recently released a standup special on Netflix, “Afraid of the Dark.”
