Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Selling Their Soho Penthouse

Singer Justin Timberlake and his actress wife, Jessica Biel, must have decided that two penthouse apartments in New York City were one too many. They have put their “starter penthouse,” as Variety described it, on the market for $8 million.

As we reported last summer, the couple purchased a posh Tribeca duplex for $20.2 million in a celeb-filled building, leaving them with an extra New York City apartment on their hands.

Timberlake has proved a savvy wheeler-dealer in real estate. In 2010, he picked up the three-bedroom, 3.5-bath penthouse for a song. He paid a discounted $6.5 million, according to reports at the time.

The stunner certainly hits a high note.

Billed as “one of the finest penthouses in Soho,” the 2,598-square-foot space has an additional 853 square feet of wraparound deck. The 10-foot-high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows add a triple exposure view in the double-wide living room. Yes, that’s a lot of glass, but if you prefer privacy, there’s a Crestron Electronics shade system to quickly close the drapes. The flooring is wide-plank oak throughout.

The chef’s kitchen would be enough to make any cook swoon, with striated elm and smoked glass cabinets, granite counters, a Sub-Zero refrigerator and wine storage, Miele ovens and dishwasher, Gaggenau cooktop, and a fully vented hood.

The master suite contains a free-standing tub and radiant heated floors, and the other three bedrooms are also en suite.

The building boasts high-end amenities, including a 24-hour doorman and concierge, parking garage, gym, and common garden.

The power couple invested in an apartment upgrade about a year ago. Their new Manhattan dwelling is about twice the size of their home on the market, at 5,375 square feet, in a 19th-century converted factory.  It is rumored to be home to major celebs including Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Rebel Wilson, Harry Styles, and Jennifer Lawrence.

A 10-time Grammy winner, Timberlake just released his fifth studio album, “Man of the Woods.” Biel, who appeared in the long-running show “7th Heaven,” received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the TV miniseries “The Sinner.”
