Lanai in the Sky: $36M Penthouse for Sale in Honolulu
Lanai in the Sky: M Penthouse for Sale in Honolulu
The 36th-floor penthouse of Waiea Tower in Honolulu, HI, will be beyond luxurious. However, the priciest condo on the market in the Hawaiian Islands currently requires some imagination.
“The pool deck is just concrete” says Bill Pisetsky, senior vice president of Residential Sales & Marketing at the Howard Hughes Corp. Set to be completed by the end of the year, the under-construction penthouse at this tower in a brand-new development called Ward Village will be an eye-popping $36 million.
But boy, we’re sure buyers around the world can’t wait to see the final result. Renderings of the finished building help give an idea of the project. Those with deep pockets will be lucky to call this haute Hawaiian retreat home—or even vacation home.
The 10,000-square-foot interior space will feature a private elevator, five bedrooms (including a huge master suite), walls of windows, a modern kitchen, and a screening room. The unit also comes with a separate four-car garage.
Outside, there’s a “sky lanai” with outdoor kitchen and pool house, and the bonkers rooftop infinity pool.
“Just standing there, if you can envision just wading in the water with a cocktail in your hand, it’s just unparalleled. You’re on top of it all. It’s just so unique,” Pisetsky says. Along with your own private view of the Pacific, you’ve got “your private pool, along with the pool house, the guest room, the kitchen. It’s like your own private hotel.”
You can dine in style, as well. With Nobu moving into the development, a single phone call will get the famous eats delivered straight to your door.
Pisetsky said world-renowned interior designer Tony Ingrao is working on the penthouse interiors. Award-winning architect James K.M. Cheng designed the sparkling glass tower which this unit sits atop.
Residents of Ward Village, a 60-acre development in the capital city, will also enjoy conveniences, including a Whole Foods store and a 16-screen multiplex theater. Building perks include a fitness center with yoga, a dog park, pool with cabanas, an indoor golf simulator, and a full-time concierge. And, of course, the beach is just a short walk across the street.
For those who don’t possess penthouse-level bank accounts, but like the sound of Ward Village, you’d better act fast. The 174 condos in Waiea Tower are over 90% sold. Of course, this divine penthouse isn’t part of the 90%—yet.
