Larry King Lists Luxe Beverly Hills Home for M
Longtime talk show host Larry King has placed his longtime Beverly Hills home on the market for $17 million. The listing comes just two months after the broadcaster filed for divorce from his wife of 22 years.
Larry married Shawn King in 1997 and made her his eighth wife. The couple purchased the luxury abode in 2007 for $11.75 million, according to real estate records. Now the luxury home the couple shared is up for grabs.
Built in 1989, the remodeled Tuscan estate in a prestigious neighborhood offers 10,810 square feet of living space, seven bedrooms, and nine bathrooms. Along with the massive main house, there’s also a one-bedroom guesthouse.
The property is private and gated, and guests enter to a skylit foyer with a double staircase that opens to the formal rooms, including a living room and dining room. High-end details include Italian limestone, tile, and Venetian plaster.
The main floor also includes a gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line commercial appliances, and a sunny breakfast room with French doors leading to the patio outside.
Other fabulous spaces include a family room with coffered ceilings and built-ins, a game room with a bar (and portraits of King), and a gym. Upstairs, the enormous master suite includes a sitting room, fireplace, private balcony, and two bathrooms.
Outside, find manicured gardens, a swimmer’s pool, and covered sitting and dining areas.
Now 85, King has been in the world of radio and television broadcasting since the 1950s. His show “Larry King Live” ran on CNN for 25 years, from 1985 to 2010. His current show, “Larry King Now,” airs on Hulu.
Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency holds the listing.
