Lauren Conrad Flipping Magnificent Pacific Palisades Mansion for .2M
Fashion mogul and TV personality Lauren Conrad has put her home in Pacific Palisades, CA, on the market for $5.2 million, according to The Real Deal.
Conrad, the former darling of “The Hills” and four-time Teen Choice Award winner, bought the 5,900-square-foot, Spanish-style home in April 2015 for $4.4 million. Perhaps inspired by her reality TV compadres on HGTV, Conrad looks to be starting a side business as a home flipper.
The five-bedroom, 5.5-bath house features vaulted ceilings, a white kitchen with two prep islands, a butler’s pantry, and two patios with outdoor fireplaces. We love the dark wood beams throughout the first-floor living area and the enormous shower in the master bathroom.
“It is a magnificent property,” says Keller Williams’ Linda Ferrari, co-listing agent with Cary Glenn of Main Beach Realty.
The current median list price for the 90272 ZIP code is $3.4 million, which means Conrad’s gated home nudges the upper end of prices in the Palisades. But it doesn’t come close to touching the top properties for sale right now: There are four homes in her ZIP with asking prices of $20 million and more.
In December 2015, we noted that Conrad had listed her glamorous Beverly Hills penthouse for $3.2 million. According to property records, the two-bedroom unit wound up selling for $2.6 million in February 2016. A price slice to be sure, but it’s still double the $1.3 million she paid for it in 2012.
Will she see a sweet return on her investment in the Palisades as well? Stay tuned…
