Mel B Set to Make a Quick Exit From Husband and Hollywood Hills Home

Talk about moving on in a hurry! In one short week, ex-Spice Girl and CTV personality Mel B (aka Melanie Brown) filed for divorce from her husband, producer Stephen Belafonte, and put their recently remodeled home on the market for $9 million.

The couple bought the four-story Hollywood Hills home in 2014 for $4.3 million, and then embarked on an extensive renovation.

It’s unlikely that Belafonte will receive a part of the probable profit from the home sale, as the couple reportedly signed an iron-clad pre-nuptial agreement. After almost 10 years of marriage, Belafonte will walk away with about $5 million, according to The Sun. The former Scary Spice is said to be worth about $50 million.

The popular “America’s Got Talent” judge is in such a rush to get out, she’s throwing in the posh designer furniture.

“This gracious home, with nearly 6,000 square feet of living space, will be delivered fully furnished with gorgeous, custom-built furniture designed to perfectly accommodate the scale and dimensions of each room,” says listing agent Ann Dashiell of Douglas Elliman.

The home features floor-to-ceiling walls of glass, light wood paneling, and floating staircases. The master suite has luxe built-ins, a sitting room, and his-and-her baths and closets.

There’s also a recording studio, home theater, pool and spa, and gym. The house has four bedrooms and 5.5 baths.

In addition to her judging duties on “America’s Got Talent,” Brown is also hosting “Lip Sync Battle UK” and serving as a mentor and judge on “The X Factor Australia.”
