Modern Woman: Mandy Moore Buys a Mid-Century Home in Pasadena
“This Is Us” star Mandy Moore has picked up a gorgeous home in the Linda Vista area of Pasadena, CA, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Built in 1950, the $2.56 million house sits on 1.45 acres of land in the San Gabriel Mountains. It features an updated kitchen with wine storage, floor-to-ceiling windows, french doors topped with clerestory windows, and an open fireplace with a copper hood anchoring the living room. There are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a swimming pool.
“This Is Us” fans have already seen Moore’s character, Rebecca Pearson, take on some heavy home construction with on-screen husband Jack (Milo Ventimiglia). Perhaps that storyline rubbed off on her off-screen life? Moore plans to do some remodeling to make the Pasadena house feel like home, according to listing agent Alphonso Lascano of Hilton & Hyland.
“She was very, very nice,” Lascano says of Moore. “She can do a lot of remodeling, play with the Mid-Century vibe.”
In September, Moore and her estranged husband, Ryan Adams, sold their five-bedroom Mediterranean-style home in Los Feliz for $2.9 million. It had been listed for $3.2 million when it went on the market in June 2016.
Moore, 32, is one of the ensemble stars of NBC’s “This Is Us,” which was just picked up for two more seasons. She has also released six albums since her breakout hit about her love of sweets.
