Space is the true luxury in packed and pricey New York City. So here’s a thought: Get yourself an entire building.

We’ve found one for you. A live-work building in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District going for $75 million is this week’s most expensive new listing on realtor.com®.

Granted, the eight-digit price tag is sky-high—but it’s for the entire structure. It gets you all 23,000 square feet of this grand space, on six floors, with a basement, roof garden, and multivehicle garage.

“As much as the price might seem high, believe or not, I think there’s a lot of value,” says listing agent Robert Deleonardis.

He notes that other current NYC listings with a similar price offer about half the square footage of this building. Case in point: A Fifth Avenue penthouse going for nearly $74 million measures only about 10,000 square feet.

Constructed in the early 1900s, this building is currently configured as a high-end film studio. There’s also commercial space that’s being rented out and a penthouse.

The top-floor unit comes with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, laundry, roof deck with a lawn, and two-story solarium.

Located on a quiet corner, the building also features views of the High Line, soaring ceilings, oversized windows, and natural light, according to the listing. Wood columns run throughout the building, and there’s a spiral staircase—along with an elevator.

With a total of 16 bathrooms, the building could be transformed into a single-family home or boutique hotel. Or it could be kept as a live-work space for, say, a startup.
