Movin’ Out? Billy Joel Cuts Price on Oceanfront Palm Beach Palace

He wants to be movin’ out. Singer Billy Joel has cut the price of his South Florida mansion by more than $3 million. The $16.9 million estate in Manalapan was initially listed in 2015 for just under $20 million.

The eight-bedroom, 9,000-square-foot mansion is nestled on 2 acres between the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. Manalapan is a small, quiet community of just a few hundred well-heeled residents in ritzy Palm Beach County.

Built in 2005 and recently renovated, the mansion will include furnishings in the sale. But before you get too excited, Joel’s baby grand piano in the clubroom and other personal effects are excluded.

Even at the reduced price, Joel is positioned to make a profit on the mansion. He purchased it in 2014 for just under $12 million. According to the Miami Herald, Joel also bought 2 adjacent acres in 2014 for $6.5 million. That land is also up for sale, for $8.9 million.

Joel has decided to trade in coastal living for life on the ranch. He and his fourth wife, Alexis Roderick, purchased a $3.5 million property in Wellington, FL, where she keeps her show-jumping horses, according to the Herald. The couple were married in 2015 and are now parents to two daughters, Della Rose, 2, and Remy Anne, born in 2017.
