A former NBA player and head coach is looking to score an easy lay-up with the sale of a luxury property.

Paul Westphal, who has the distinction of being one of the few people in league history to play and coach in multiple All-Star games, is selling his longtime home in Palos Verdes Estates, CA. Originally purchased in 2006 for a smidge under $2.2 million, Westphal has the home listed for $3.5 million.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home does not lack for luxury. It sits in a private and secluded area of Palos Verdes, not too far from the beautiful Southern California coast.

The one-level mansion was recently expanded and remodeled to offer up a spacious floor plan with vaulted ceilings and large rooms. Stone and hardwood floors accentuate the 4,500-square foot home. The kitchen features custom cabinetry, marble counters, and an adjacent formal dining room.

Inside, the potential buyer will find three large bedrooms, five fireplaces, a game room, den, and an office. Additionally, an in-law unit comes with the property, equipped with its own private bathroom. The exterior’s main feature is a sumptuous secluded spa area.

Westphal is a legend among NBA lifers. As a player, he won an NBA championship as a member of the Boston Celtics two years into his playing career, before departing for the Phoenix Suns. He also suited up for the New York Knicks and Seattle Supersonics. In all, Westphal made five All-Star teams and three All-NBA teams.

His playing career ended in 1984, and he broke into the coaching ranks four years later with the Suns—becoming their head coach in 1992 and making the NBA Finals in his rookie season as the boss.

He went on to coach the Supersonics and Sacramento Kings, with a stint at Pepperdine University sandwiched in between.

He has a career .532 winning percentage as an NBA head coach and a 27-22 record in the playoffs.
