No Joke: Comedian Ron White Still Looking for a Buyer in Georgia

It’s no joke—the Georgia home of comedian Ron White is on the market. Again. The elegant Southern estate in Suwanee has bounced on and off the market since 2009, when it was listed for $3.5 million.

The blue-collar comic has since slashed the price, and when we reported on the home for sale four years ago, the price was $2.5 million.

This time around, the 13,082-square-foot home has been restaged with a new look and a lower price: $2.4 million.

“It’s a great home,” says listing agent Rhonda Shell, who’s added virtual tours and more photos to better showcase the show-stopping residence.

So will this be the price that brings in the crowds, or will it be another setup with no punch line? We took a spin through the funnyman’s home and it’s no laughing matter.

The lovely spread outside of Atlanta is located on the fourth green of the River Club Golf Course. The main-floor veranda overlooks the resort-style outdoor space, which features a covered lounge area and saltwater pool and spa.

Blue-collar this place is not. The grand two-story entry is positively patrician, with a marble inlaid foyer and matching white columns. The ornate architectural finishes, such as the coffered ceilings and intricate moldings, are accented by elaborate chandeliers in the main rooms.

Along with two fireside master suites, the home includes 10 fireplaces, a humidor, home theater, billiard room, gym, and pub. The kitchen comes with a limestone island and stainless-steel appliances.

While the decor has been toned down since the last photo shoot, the home definitely conveys an old-world vibe. The common spaces include a formal dining room and living room, with more modern touches in the informal family room off the kitchen.

Shell says she has already received interest in the listing, and points to “the enduring architecture that flows throughout the home.”

She adds: “It’s absolutely timeless and gorgeous. Every room is its own special jewel. The home has a lot of character. It’s fabulous.”

Let’s hope that at the very least, White has developed a good sense of humor about his lack of luck with real estate. It sounds like this time around might be the charm.
