Orlando Magic’s Arron Afflalo Ready to Disappear From L.A. Home
NBA guard Arron Afflalo is letting go of his slick Los Angeles pied-à-terre, listing the 5,422-square-foot modern home for $2.3 million. At $423 per square foot, it’s a fair price for the Ladera Heights neighborhood, which averages $421 per square foot.
Afflalo didn’t spend much time in the four-bedroom, 4.5-bath home during the NBA season. Since the L.A. native bought the place in 2012 for $1,270,000, he’s played for the Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers, New York Knicks, and Sacramento Kings. He’s currently with the Orlando Magic.
Afflalo appears to have kept the house in pristine condition. Built in 1967, it was remodeled from the ground up in 2009. Among its finer features are two master suites, a chef’s kitchen, and an oversize pool and spa with fountain.
Then there are the views! Sunsets and city lights can be viewed from numerous balconies, and via floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors. The hillside home is located within minutes of Hollywood and downtown L.A., not to mention LAX.
The house features an open floor plan with plenty of natural light, pale wood flooring, and high ceilings throughout. There are two staircases, one of them floating, and a modern fireplace.
The kitchen has double ovens, granite countertops, wine storage, and both an island and a peninsula.
Afflalo attended Centennial High in Compton, and then played college ball for UCLA.
